Maximum charging current is 25% of rated capacity. The 7–18Ah models use different charge settings — float 13.5–13.8 V and cyclic 14.4–14.7 V (14.4–15.0 V for 9 and 12Ah); see each datasheet.

How long do Amaron Quanta and Amaron Volt batteries last?

Per the manufacturer's datasheets, Amaron Quanta models from 26Ah to 200Ah have a design float life of up to 10 years, while the 7, 9, 12 and 18Ah models are rated for up to 6 years. Amaron Volt is rated at 20+ years at 27°C. Design-life figures assume rated conditions — higher operating temperatures and deep cycling reduce real-world life, which is why correct sizing and temperature control matter.

What charging voltage should I use?

Amaron Quanta 26–200Ah: float 13.5 V and cyclic 13.8 V per 12V battery at 27°C, with charge current limited to 25% of rated capacity (the 7–18Ah models use higher cyclic voltages — check the datasheet). Amaron Volt: float 2.23–2.25 volts per cell and boost 2.30–2.32 volts per cell, with maximum charging current of 0.3C (C being the 10-hour rated Ah).

Which international standards do the batteries meet?

Amaron Volt is certified to IS 15549:2005 and IEC 60896-21/22 and 61427, complies with IEEE 1188 & 1189 and Telcordia SR4228, and carries CE marking. Amaron Quanta conforms to JIS and is built in an ISO 9001-certified plant. Ask us for the specific certificate for your model.

Is a flame-retardant version available?

Yes, for Amaron Quanta 26Ah to 200Ah. The datasheets list flame-retardant versions in UL 94-V0 material, with model codes ending in 'Z' (for example 12ALZ100N). The 7–18Ah models use ABS cases.

What temperature range can the batteries run in?

Most Amaron Quanta models are rated for −20°C to +60°C (50–60°C for shorter periods); the 9Ah, 12Ah and 34Ah models are rated to +50°C. Amaron Volt is rated −40°C to +60°C. Capacity changes with temperature — the 100Ah datasheet shows 110% at 40°C, 100% at 27°C, 80% at 0°C and 60% at −15°C at the 20-hour rate.

What does HWS mean?

HWS is the High Wattage Series within Amaron Quanta — ratings of 388W, 440W, 540W and 730W (15-minute rating per cell at 1.67 ECV), designed for data centres and other float applications.

Are the batteries held in stock in Doha?
